Play: is a pointed finger to specific games I enjoyed and think are worth playing, usually with reasoning why.
A minimilist (you have me there) real time strategy (yep, got me there) space (again, got me, what?) meditative game about building a base and researching monoliths while avoiding being destroyed by other entities.
This ticks a lot of boxes for me but everything about it has an aspect of necessity, and excess at the same time. It's designed to fit itself, and in itself complete and this is to me, what makes it enjoyable.
Everything is minimal to the point of being necessary and nothing more - except it's all polished in excess - making it beautifully and patiently crafted instead of just what is required to call it a complete game.
It has a challenging default mode and a zen mode on PC, and is available on Vita, iOS, Android and PC/Mac/Linux on Steam.
